One meal swipe per meal period will be used each time a student enters the dining commons.įlex dollars are stored on your Cal 1 Card and function like cash dollars, but they hold greater value because you can purchase them at a discount.įlex dollars can be used by anyone to pay for guests at a discounted rate at the dining commons. Meal plans include a certain number of meal swipes stored on their Cal 1 Card. There are also flex dollars for faculty and staff.Ī meal swipe is how students living in a residence hall pay when they eat at the dining commons. Students will receive meal swipes that can be used at participating dining vendors. Student having difficulty accessing food can also apply to receive emergency swipes through our Swipe Out Hunger program. Undergraduate students living in off-campus housing, university-owned affiliated apartments, and graduate/extension students The limit for meal swipes is 7, and for reference a breakfast wrap costs 4.75 and a pure leaf tea costs 2.
